What should I do if my Snugr gateway reports a loss of communication with the servers?
For proper operation, the Snugr gateway must:
-
be powered using the supplied power adapter,
-
have an active Internet connection.
Once configured, the gateway automatically connects to Snugr servers.
If a communication loss is reported, follow the steps below.
1) Check the power supply
When properly powered, LEDs light up inside the gateway.
-
No LEDs: test the power outlet with another device.
-
If the outlet works, the power adapter or the gateway itself may be faulty.
A compatible replacement power supply must be:
-
5V – minimum 2.4 A
-
4.0 × 1.7 mm connector
2) Check the Internet connection (RJ45)
-
Orange LED: steady
-
Green LED: blinking
Test the Ethernet cable by connecting it to a laptop (Wi-Fi disabled) and browsing several websites.
3) Test using the Snugr Wi-Fi access point
For software versions above 3.000:
-
Restart the gateway without network access.
-
Connect to the Wi-Fi network “Snugr: …”.
-
Open http://192.168.42.1.
-
A yellow banner indicates no Internet access.
-
Plug in the Ethernet cable to restore connectivity.
