My valve shows the “low batteries” symbol. What should I do? How do I replace the batteries?

When your valve shows the “low batteries” symbol, it’s time to:

  • replace the batteries (for battery-powered valves), or

  • recharge the valve (for rechargeable EasyPelt valves).

Follow the section that matches your model.

1) Battery-powered valve, no display

Compatible batteries

This valve uses 2 × AA 1.5 V non-rechargeable batteries.

Important: do not use rechargeable batteries (1.2 V). They do not provide the required voltage and may cause unstable operation or reduced battery life.

Replacing the batteries

  1. Open the cover from the underside.

  2. Replace the batteries, following the polarity markings on the valve.

  3. Close the cover.

If the red LED flashes after replacing the batteries

  1. Press briefly (one click) the button with the spanner/tool symbol.

  2. The red LED should stay on steadily, then turn off after a few seconds.

2) Battery-powered valve with display

Replacing the batteries

  1. Gently remove the dial by pulling it towards you.

  2. Slide the small white cover downward to access the battery compartment.

  3. Replace the batteries (2 × AA 1.5 V non-rechargeable).

  4. Put the cover and the dial back in place.

  5. Press the white button once.

3) EasyPelt v1.2 rechargeable (1 button + Micro-USB port on the back)

Charging

  1. Plug a wall charger (e.g., a smartphone charger) into the Micro-USB port on the back of the valve.

  2. Leave the valve charging for at least 12 hours.

Important:

  • Do not use a power bank. Since the valve consumes very little power, some power banks automatically stop charging after a few seconds or minutes.

  • The valve has no charging indicator.

4) EasyPelt rechargeable (2nd generation and later, 2 buttons)

Charging

  1. Carefully remove the front cover of the valve.

  2. Plug a wall charger (e.g., a smartphone charger) into the Micro-USB or USB-C port (depending on your model).

  3. Leave the valve charging for at least 12 hours.

Important:

  • Do not use a power bank. Since the valve consumes very little power, some power banks automatically stop charging after a few seconds or minutes.

  • The valve has no charging indicator.
