How do I pair an EasyPelt valve with my Snugr installation?

For Snugr to regulate heating correctly, each valve must be paired with your installation and assigned to the correct room.

Basic steps (installation wizard)

  1. Open the Snugr interface (local or remote, depending on your gateway).

  2. Go to: Settings → Installation (installation wizard).

  3. Click Add a device.

  4. Select the device type you want to pair.

  5. Select (or create) the room where the valve is located.

  6. Click Start pairing.

  7. You have 5 minutes to perform the pairing action on the valve.

Then follow the procedure that matches your valve model.

Pairing procedures by valve type

EasyPelt (batteryless, 2 buttons)

  1. After fitting the valve onto the valve body, press both buttons for 10 seconds (the indicators flash).
(useful if the valve was paired previously and hasn’t been used for more than one hour)

  2. Wait a few seconds, then press one of the two buttons for 5 seconds (the green LED flashes twice) and check in the interface that the valve has communicated. If not, repeat this step.

  3. The valve is now paired. Press once briefly on one of the buttons to start initialization (valve pin stroke measurement).

EasyPelt v1.2 (batteryless, 1 button)

  1. After fitting the valve onto the valve body, press the button for 10 seconds (the red LED turns on), then release.

  2. Wait a few seconds, then press for 3 seconds (release before the red LED appears). You should hear and/or feel the valve move.

  3. Press once briefly so the valve pairs and initializes. Confirm in the interface that pairing succeeded. If the valve is not initialized, press once briefly again.

EasyPelt Cube (batteryless)

  1. After fitting, press the button for 10 seconds (the indicators flash).
(useful if the valve was paired previously and hasn’t been used for more than one hour)

  2. Wait a few seconds, then press twice briefly (within 2 seconds). The red LED flashes once. Check in the interface that the valve has communicated. If not, repeat this step.

  3. The valve is now paired. Press once briefly to initialize (valve pin stroke measurement).

Standard valve (battery-powered, no display)

  1. If your radiator already has a thermostatic head, remove it.

  2. Insert the supplied batteries (2 × AA non-rechargeable) into the valve, then screw it onto the radiator (an adapter may be required).

  3. Press the button near the antenna symbol.

  4. When pairing is complete, the green LED flashes 3 times.

  5. If it does not flash: the 3-minute pairing window has expired (start again) or the radio signal is too weak (move the gateway closer or add a repeater).

  6. If the red LED flashes, press once briefly the button with the spanner/tool symbol to initialize the valve.

Valve (battery-powered, with display)

  1. Press briefly button (01).

  2. The device starts initialization; wait until the procedure completes and symbol (02) disappears from the screen.

  3. In the wizard, click Start pairing, then press and hold button (01) until the pairing symbol appears.

  4. Pairing is complete. You can then set a temperature using the dial (03).

If error code “!53” appears, repeat step 3. If it persists, the valve is likely out of range: move the gateway closer or add a repeater.

After pairing

  • Add a description (e.g., “left valve”) if you have multiple valves in the same room.

  • Check signal quality using the corresponding icon to confirm radio range to the gateway.
