How do I start the valve calibration / initialization procedure?
The procedure depends on the valve model. Follow the section that matches your device.
EasyPelt v1.2 (batteryless)
-
Press and hold the button for 10 seconds: the red LED turns on and then off. Release.
-
Wait a few seconds, then press for 3 to 4 seconds (release before the red LED turns on). The valve should move and fully open (you can then refit it onto the radiator if it was removed).
-
Press once briefly to pair and initialize.
-
Wait a few seconds, then press once briefly again.
-
In the interface, check under Settings → Devices that a small green “V” appears next to the valve. If not, repeat step 4.
EasyPelt 1.0 (batteryless, 2 buttons)
-
After fitting the valve onto the valve body, press both buttons for 10 seconds (the indicators flash).
-
Wait a few seconds, then press one of the two buttons for 5 seconds (the green LED flashes twice) and check in the interface that the valve has communicated.
-
Press once briefly on a button to start initialization (stroke measurement). For about 10 minutes, the valve communicates more frequently (every 10 seconds).
EasyPelt Cube (batteryless)
-
After fitting, press the button for 10 seconds (the red LED flashes once).
-
Wait a few seconds, then press twice quickly (the red LED flashes once) and check in the interface that the valve has communicated.
-
Press once briefly to initialize (stroke measurement). For about 10 minutes, the valve communicates more frequently (every 10 seconds).
Classic Snugr valve (battery-powered, no display)
-
Press once on the button with the antenna symbol to drain residual energy.
-
Reinsert the battery and wait for the red LED to flash.
-
Screw the valve back on by hand.
-
Press briefly on the button with the spanner/tool symbol: the red LED should turn on and then off after a few seconds. If it never turns on, replace the batteries and try again.
Snugr valve (battery-powered, with display)
1) Initialization (stroke calibration)
-
Press and hold the white button for more than 10 seconds until this symbol appears: =>X.
-
Wait for the display to turn off.
-
Press the white button once briefly.
-
You should see a symbol with a large arrow and a dot: this means the valve is initializing based on the stroke of the pin in the valve body.
-
-
Wait for the display to turn off again.
-
Press the white button once.
-
The valve should now display a temperature (and two small arrows at the top of the screen).
-
At this stage, the valve is working but in manual mode. It is no longer paired with Snugr and lets you control the radiator temperature like a standard thermostatic radiator valve.
2) Pair the valve back to Snugr
-
Press and hold the button until this symbol appears: =>
-
Then press the button once briefly.
-
Check the display:
-
If it shows only a temperature (and nothing else), the valve is correctly paired with Snugr.
-
If other symbols remain or no temperature is shown, repeat the last two steps.
