How do I pair my signal repeater with my Snugr installation?
A signal repeater improves the radio range between your devices (valves, sensors, etc.) and the Snugr gateway.
Important:
-
A repeater works even if it is not paired in Snugr.
-
Pairing it with your installation allows you to:
-
display its signal level,
-
see the last communication time,
-
and change its repeat mode.
-
Repeat modes (EnOcean)
Depending on the repeater, you can usually select the repeat level:
-
Level 1: telegrams are repeated once.
Recommended in most cases to reduce radio traffic. -
Level 2: telegrams that were already repeated can be repeated again (so a second repeat may occur).
Useful for difficult areas, but may increase radio traffic.
Pairing steps (installation wizard)
-
Open the Snugr interface (local or remote).
-
Go to Settings → Installation (installation wizard).
-
Click Add a device.
-
Select Repeater.
-
Make sure the repeater is not powered:
-
unplug it (plug-in repeater), or
-
switch off the corresponding circuit breaker/fuse (in-wall repeater).
-
-
Click Start pairing.
-
Power the repeater:
-
plug it in, or
-
turn the breaker/fuse back on.
-
-
A red LED flashes to indicate the device is operating. Wait a moment.
-
A message will appear in the wizard to confirm pairing is successful.
If pairing fails
-
Make sure you are still within the wizard’s pairing window.
-
Try again, ensuring the repeater is truly unpowered when you click Start pairing, then powered immediately after.
-
For in-wall repeaters, check power at the breaker/fuse and confirm the LED turns on/flashes.
