What is “summer mode”?

Summer mode is a feature designed to save battery power on Snugr devices during periods when heating is not required, typically during the summer season.

When summer mode is enabled:

  • the communication frequency of Snugr devices is reduced,

  • heating requests are ignored,

  • device energy consumption is optimized.

When should summer mode be enabled?

It is recommended to enable summer mode when:

  • heating is not used for an extended period,

  • no heating demand is expected (summer, unoccupied buildings, etc.).

Summer mode can be found under:
Settings → Advanced settings

Disabling summer mode: important information

When you wish to return to normal operation, it is recommended to disable summer mode up to 12 hours in advance.

Because communication frequency is reduced in summer mode:

  • devices in standby may take longer to receive the command to exit summer mode.

Exiting summer mode faster (manual procedure)

If you want to speed up the exit from summer mode, you can force a manual communication depending on the device type:

Radiator valves

  • Force communication by following the valve calibration procedure.
